The first Community Library in Tamilnadu has been inaugurated at Rohini Garden Enclave C block by the respected District Collector Mr S.Sivarasu.The Department of Public Libraries Tamilnadu introduced a scheme of opening Community Library at Multistorey buildings and Apartment if the residents come forward to deposit RS 20000/-as Caution Deposit and to provide small building, Furniture. This Library is run by the residents themselves.The department provides books and advocacy.On this great occasion the Collector sanctioned RS 20000/- from his Discretionary Fund for the development of the Community Library. Grateful to the Collector for the support.Grateful to the gesture of Mr Vallanaadaan who donates RS 1000/- every month to this Library to offer effective programs to motivate and encourage children towards cultivating and enhancing reading habit.Many thanks to all the residents for their co-operation.
